Individuals with isolated upper abdominal skin laxity may be candidates for double reverse tummy tuck. This procedure requires a breast of suitable size and shape in attempt to hide the resection scar under the breast crease (could also be performed in the setting of existing breast implants).
When we perform a double reverse abdominoplasty, we start by first liposuctioning the upper abdomen to loosen skin so that a portion of skin could be excised under each breast crease, creating a tightening and lifting effect. This also allows for additional athletic contouring of abdomen should our clients desire such.
We typically perform this procedure with our patients awake using only local tumescent anesthesia, and is generally well tolerated.
